TRSA and Baird released the findings from the Q3 2026 Uniform & Linen Services Industry Survey, a quarterly snapshot of business conditions in the linen, uniform and facility services industry. The results reflect strong performance across the industry.

Based on input from senior leaders at privately held TRSA member firms across North America, the survey includes the following key findings:

  • The index for employment-driven expansion at existing accounts increased to 63 from 36 – its strongest reading since the beginning of 2022.
  • The new business index increased to 64 from a neutral 50—its best reading since 2017.
  • Respondents expect rental revenue to grow by 5.8% over the next 12 months, up from 3.6% in the previous survey.

Linen Rental Sector

  • Approximately nine out of 10 respondents (93%) cited revenue at or above expectations, a modest improvement over last quarter.
  • Pricing for new and existing accounts increased slightly, with average price increases for existing accounts at approximately 2.4%.
  • New business remained positive for the eighth straight quarter.
  • Respondents expect revenue growth to reach 4.7% over the next 12 months, a strong improvement from last quarter.

Healthcare Rental Sector

  • Healthcare rental continued to show strong results through the second half of 2026, with all respondents (100%) experiencing revenue growth at or above last year’s levels.

“This latest survey provides a strong indication that the industry continues to perform,” said Joseph Ricci, president and CEO of TRSA. “We’re seeing momentum across uniform, linen and healthcare, with particularly encouraging results in new business and revenue expectations. While the survey reflects just a snapshot in time, the results show a solid foundation for continued growth and resilience of our members. That strength positions our industry to continue providing the essential services that many vital organizations and businesses across the country rely on.”
