Spartan Chemical Co., Maumee, OH, a manufacturer of sustainable cleaning and sanitation solutions for the industrial and institutional markets, announced that John Swigart has assumed the role of CEO, effective April 15.
Swigart joined Spartan Chemical in 1999, working in a variety of plant roles before transitioning to sales as distributor relations manager. He was promoted to vice president in 2005, named executive vice president in 2009 and has served as president for the past 15 years. He will continue to serve as president while also assuming the role of CEO.
“I am honored to serve as Chief Executive Officer and look forward to continuing to work alongside the talented leadership team we have in place here at Spartan Chemical,” said Swigart. “I am fortunate and proud to lead a company with a strong culture and tradition that fosters deep partnerships with our selective network of distribution.”
Steve Swigart will continue to serve as the Chairman of the Board.
