TRSA announces an upcoming virtual event featuring a conversation between TRSA’s President & CEO Joseph Ricci and Devin Jopp, CEO of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC). This fireside chat will delve into the critical role that hygienically clean reusable textiles play in preventing the spread of deadly pathogens in healthcare settings.

Building on insights from a recent National Academies of Sciences workshop, Joe and Devin will explore the numerous benefits of hygienically clean reusable textiles and personal protective equipment (PPE) in healthcare. Key topics will include cost-effectiveness, high quality and safety standards, and enhanced supply-chain resiliency. They also will discuss the hygienically clean process, the role of laundry professionals in infection control and potential policy measures to support the use of reusable textiles.

The event will conclude with an interactive question-and-answer session, providing attendees the opportunity to engage directly with Ricci and Jopp.

This free event is part of TRSA’s ongoing efforts to highlight the value of hygienically clean reusable textiles. There are several planned collaborations between TRSA and APIC, including a series of webinars hosted by TRSA to APIC members in the first quarter of 2025.
