TRSA has awarded scholarships to four industry professionals for its 2026 Executive Management Institute (EMI), the premier leadership-development program for the linen, uniform and facility services industry, scheduled for Aug. 9–13 in Oak Brook, IL.

The recipients are:

  • Kelly Brookins, director of marketing, Virginia Linen Service Inc.
  • Anthony Gropelli, sales manager, Balfurd Linen Service
  • Katie Lewis, office manager, Metro Linen Service
  • Christopher Snyder, director of quality & certifications, Hospital Central Services (HCSC)

The H. Kent Baker EMI Scholarship covers first-year tuition and honors the late H. Kent Baker, longtime EMI dean and instructor.

“Developing future leaders is essential to the continued success of our industry,” said Joseph Ricci, president and CEO of TRSA. “We’re pleased to recognize Kelly, Anthony, Katie and Christopher, and support their growth through EMI.”

Kelly Brookins leads marketing and business development initiatives for Virginia Linen Service, focusing on customer engagement, technology adoption and strategic initiatives. “I’m honored to receive this scholarship and look forward to learning from experienced peers and gaining new perspectives,” Brookins said. “I’m excited to apply what I learn and make a greater impact within my organization.”

Anthony Gropelli leads Balfurd Linen & Uniform’s sales team, where he has implemented training programs, expanded into new markets and helped drive sustained business growth. “Receiving this scholarship will provide the leadership insights I need to better develop my team and help drive Balfurd’s continued success,” Gropelli said.

Katie Lewis manages office operations at Metro Linen Service, helping enhance coordination and efficiency across the company. “EMI is an incredible opportunity to continue growing as a leader and expand my understanding of the industry,” Lewis said. “I’m looking forward to applying what I learn to support our team.”

Christopher Snyder oversees quality and compliance programs for HCSC, including certification initiatives, process improvement efforts and operational standards across healthcare laundry operations. “I’m excited for the opportunity to attend EMI,” Snyder said. “I look forward to gaining a broader perspective on the industry, strengthening my leadership skills and bringing new ideas back to our organization.”

Recognized as the industry’s premier leadership-development program, EMI helps participants strengthen communication, management and decision-making skills while building relationships with peers from across the industry.
