Webinar to Examine Uniform Service and Sales, Side-by-Side

Posted March 8, 2024 at 2:21 pm

A March 14 webinar at 11 a.m. EDT will profile fertile markets for uniform rental and direct sale: business locations that require both. This panel presentation featuring Network Association of Uniform Manufacturers and Dealers (NAUMD) and TRSA members will examine job functions in these markets to sort opportunities for each.

“Uniform Program Markets: Rental and Direct Sale Synergies” will cover broad classifications of industries, quantifying their employment mix by occupation. Scheduled to be discussed as defined by their North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code:

  • Accommodation
  • Ambulatory Health Care Services
  • Automobile Dealers
  • Educational Services
  • Food Services and Drinking Places
  • Government (including Protective Service Occupations)
  • Hospitals
  • Manufacturing

The discussion will examine how different jobs in these industries may be more appropriate for rental or direct sale. U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data from 2022 will show the nation’s total number of jobs in each of these market sectors and each major occupational classification’s subtotals. For example, in the automobile dealer business, about one third of jobs are in sales and related occupations; about one quarter are in installation, maintenance and repair.

NAUMD webinar panelists will represent uniform manufacturers: Dan D’Angelo, national accounts VP, Workwear Outfitters, Nashville, TN; and Brett Garran, sales VP, Edwards Garment Co., Kalamazoo, MI. TRSA panelists will be uniform service operators John Auriemma, president, American Wear, East Orange, NJ; and Bobbi Johnston, sales and marketing director, and Shondra Fredrickson, account executive, Huebsch Services, Eau Claire, WI.

The webinar is open to all TRSA and NAUMD members at no charge. Register here.
