Level Up: Second Session to Start in August

TRSA is set to launch the second session of LevelUp, an on-demand training program for plant supervisors, the first week of August. The LevelUp supervisory training program is available to all commercial laundry industry companies and TRSA members receive a discounted rate.

The program consists of 10 modules that are directly related to obstacles and challenges faced in a commercial laundry plant on topics like effective communication, motivating employees and problem-solving in the plant operation. Every program participant must complete a final assignment that solves an operational issue or enhances the work environment before graduating.

“One of the key benefits the program offers is the flexibility for participants to get on-demand training sessions delivered around their work schedule,” said Chris Stammer, a LevelUp master trainer and course facilitator. “The experiential learning and knowledge tests challenge participants and the action assignments allow supervisors to apply the learned concepts to their specific plant operation.”

The inaugural session of LevelUp started in May 2023 with participants from nine different companies of varying sizes who, to date, have completed more than 80% of the program. Matt Calderone, general manager of Missoula Textile Services who has a new plant supervisor enrolled, is extremely appreciative of the program. “Thanks again for putting this on, it has been a huge blessing,” Calderone said. “We have seen a lot of growth in a short amount of time and look forward to making more improvements.” The participants in the current program have been giving it high reviews as well, including:
