TRSA’s Production Network Connections virtual roundtable on March 4 will provide you with an information exchange with linen and uniform operators and suppliers about technology developments in processing. Regardless of the industries your laundry serves, you’ll benefit from this sharing of experience regarding increased automation of processes from receiving soiled textiles to packing out clean ones.
You can offer your observations – and ask other participants – to foster dialogue on any subject you like related to improving plant efficiency. Topics related to both linen and industrial laundries expected to arise include enhanced AI capabilities, robotics, and water and energy conservation, as well as developments in fabrics and chemistry.
Especially for healthcare and hospitality (hotel) work, you’ll hear about laundry operators’ latest successes in tunnel washer operation as well as associated finishing systems: feeders, folders and ironers. These will be relevant to F&B (restaurant) laundries, too, along with technologies for handling small pieces. Improvements to washer/extractors will be of interest to all, especially industrial operators, who will want to hear about developments in RFID-aided garment handling, tunnel finishing and dust-control product processing.
TRSA Connections, formerly known as Virtual Roundtables and Forums, aren’t webinars. They’re on the Zoom platform, so they’re more about connecting with industry colleagues and sharing experience. Participants need not be specialists in the job functions discussed. In this case, it doesn’t matter if you’ve never had a job dedicated to laundry production. If you’ve had any connection to the effective and efficient performance of this function, you will benefit from this exchange.
