In 2012, Thomas Vozzo left behind a lucrative corporate career to become the inaugural CEO of Homeboy Industries, the world’s largest and most successful gang intervention, rehabilitation and re-entry program. Vozzo transitioned from overseeing billion-dollar-plus revenues as CEO of Aramark Uniform and Career Apparel Group to serving as an unpaid volunteer CEO of a nonprofit founded on the principles of compassion, kinship, empathy and social justice.
Vozzo joins an impressive lineup of leadership speakers for TRSA’s 112th Annual Conference, May 13-15, which also features keynotes from Dr. Kevin Elko, a sports psychology performance consultant and best-selling author; and Nolan Bushnell, technology pioneer and chairman of ExoDexa Holdings Inc.
“Vozzo has a great story to tell about how and why he made the decision to move from a corporate CEO in our industry to an unpaid volunteer CEO of a nonprofit,” said Joseph Ricci, TRSA president and CEO. “His unique journey and transformative leadership experience make him an excellent fit to inspire and guide our attendees.”
Vozzo will tap into experiences from his leadership roles at Aramark, and now Homeboy Industries, and share how the experience can be applied to practical ways to address some of our most vexing social issues, and provides a new path for personal and business leadership.
Registration is now open for TRSA’s 112th Annual Conference, scheduled for May 13-15 at The Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Villas, Indian Wells, CA.
