Watch Video: The ‘Secret Life of Linens’ Launch
On Aug. 9, TRSA and LinenMaster will celebrate International Linen & Uniform Service Day (ILUD), honoring professionals in linen, uniform and facility services. Launched in 2021, the ILUD marks Aug. 9 as a tribute to Alva J. Fisher, who patented the first electric washing machine on that date in 1910. This invention revolutionized commercial laundering. The primary goal of ILUD is to heighten awareness of the critical role that linen, uniform and facility services play in a wide range of businesses and institutions such as hospitals.
To celebrate this year’s ILUD, TRSA teamed with Infinite Laundry and LinenMaster to launch the “Secret Life of Linens” video campaign. Imagine if linens could talk – what stories would they share? Sarah Sinclair, chief customer officer at LinenMaster, outlines this intriguing media concept. She notes that “In an animated and engaging 2-minute video, we’ll explore a day in the life of linens from various industries. These fabrics will come to life, each with its own personality and experiences.”
The first video introduces the six animated characters. Each week, leading up to Aug 9, a video will highlight a different character.
