TRSAPAC is your opportunity to protect your company from unfair tax, labor and environmental policies.
TRSAPAC is the most effective means for the linen, uniform and facility services industry to proactively participate in political campaigns, by contributing directly to the campaigns of legislators who help our industry by voting for pro-business measures and intervening with regulatory agencies that impact our businesses. The contributions of TRSA members to TRSAPAC are critical in obtaining the support we need to more effectively compete with interests counter to our industry’s objectives.
Individuals may contribute no more than $5000 to TRSAPAC per calendar year. You may only contribute personal funds (contributions from corporations are prohibited). Contributions are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
Federal law requires political action committees to use their best efforts to obtain and report the name, mailing address, occupation and employer for each individual whose contribution is in excess of $200 per calendar year.
TRSA is the only organization that proactively protects the textile services industry by fighting for fair and balanced regulation, and pro-business tax, labor and environmental policies. The TRSA Government Relations team can forge relationships and hold meetings with Members of Congress and their staffs, but having the support from TRSA members who meet with and build relationships with elected officials makes a huge difference in terms of getting the industry’s ideas across in ways that can have a real impact.
As a TRSAPAC donor, you will have several opportunities to engage directly with legislative officials and candidates.
TRSAPAC receptions provide a forum for donors to stand up to make their voices heard in the policy arena and mix with industry colleagues, in addition to meeting an incumbent legislator or candidate.
TRSA Members who contribute $2,000 or more per calendar year are invited to participate in the annual TRSAPAC fly-ins. These events allow TRSA members to have small meetings with influential legislators and regulators to talk about current events and issues affecting their businesses.
