TRSA’s Textile Rental Education and Research Trust (TRERT) funds scholarships to support individuals seeking a career in the linen, uniform, and facility services industry, improving their qualifications through attending TRSA Institutes or pursuing a degree from an accredited college, university, or technical school.

Institute Instruction

TRSA members can receive funds to cover qualified scholarship candidates’ classroom instruction at TRSA’s Executive Management Institute, Professional Management Institute and Maintenance Management Institute. EMI, PMI and MMI stand out among industry events because of their emphasis on developing skills as well as knowledge of industry best practices. The programs provide industry executives and managers with an immersive experience that accelerates their professional development. The longevity of EMI, PMI and MMI testifies to the value that many TRSA member companies have received by sending their colleagues year after year to these programs.

Merit-based College/Technical Institution Scholarship

Full-time employees of TRSA member companies in good standing for three years and their children or grandchildren are encouraged to apply. At an accredited college, university, or technical school, eligible applicants can be anticipating freshman entry, have been previously accepted as a freshman, or can be underclassmen continuing their education. Please see Application Requirements – All Scholarships below to view priority basis for awards. Application requires submitting supporting documents via email (scholarships@trsa.org) as well as webform. The number of scholarships ($2,500 each) awarded each year is based on the number of high quality applications received.

Submissions for 2024 are due May 31, 2024


Application Requirements – All Scholarships

Recipients for Institute scholarships are selected based on their organizational roles and other professional qualifications. Full-time employees of member companies and their children and grandchildren are eligible for college, university or technical school support. Both scholarship types have additional eligibility and selection criteria. Priority criteria are established for each as well.
