Croatti Gains Posthumous Honor as Top CEO

Ronald D. Croatti, former CEO of UniFirst Corp. who passed away on May 23, recently was recognized on a list of the top CEOs of 2017 as rated by Glassdoor, one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing job websites, according to a news release.

“I can’t think of another CEO more deserving of this award than my brother Ron, said Cynthia Croatti, executive vice president of UniFirst, Wilmington, MA. “I only wish he were able to personally accept this honor. Ron’s whole life revolved around UniFirst and each one of our employee Team Partners, and he routinely took a personal interest in their lives … both in and out of the office.”

Robert Hohman, cofounder and CEO of Glassdoor, noted that “CEOs tell us the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award is one of the highest honors they can receive because it truly reflects employee opinion about the job they do every day. Croatti had an 89% approval rating based on 832 employee reviews, according to information on Glassdoor’s website.

Other executives included on the list of the top 100 CEOs included Elon Musk, SpaceX and Tesla Inc.; Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook; John Legere, T-Mobile; Tim Cook of Apple Inc; and others.
