The Healthcare Linen Alliance, one of the nation’s largest healthcare linen providers with more than 1,800 customers, recently named longtime laundry manager Rick Gaffney to oversee business development and partnerships, according to a news release.

“We are very pleased to welcome Rick to our team,” said Randy Bartsch, a founding member and chairman of the Alliance, which is comprised of a number of linen supply companies, including Ecotex Healthcare Linen Service, where Bartsch serves as CEO. “I am confident that through his efforts we will continue to expand the reach of the group across the country. As a group, with our combined size, scale and coverage, the Alliance is helping hospitals and health systems drive down overall laundry and linen costs.”

Gaffney seconded the latter statement, noting that, “The Healthcare Linen Alliance is the better alternative for national healthcare laundry, and I’m happy to be a part of the team and share that message.”

Gaffney has 30-plus years’ experience working in commercial laundry operations, including turnaround projects and projects aimed at boosting revenue by focusing on quality and hiring talent, according to the release and a LinkedIn posting. Throughout his career, he’s demonstrated a successful track record of helping businesses improve their operations, increase their reach and ensure that the right service team is in place, the release said.
