Survey Results to be Presented at Healthcare Conference

TRSA recently conducted the Healthcare Laundry Benchmarking Survey with the goal of providing a valuable business planning tool for healthcare laundry operators and to provide a resource to the healthcare sector. Specific operational, financial and strategic questions were developed by the TRSA Healthcare Committee and TRSA staff leadership in conjunction with the Mackay Research Group, a third-party research firm that conducted the benchmarking survey.

The data collected covered healthcare trends, utility statistics, financial benchmarks, customer and employee engagement, as well as infection control, innovation and certification questions. The results are organized according to several classifications, each of which represent statistically valid samples. According to feedback from participating operators, the report has proven to be valuable, as was the act of completing the survey. Doing so required research and analysis, and prompted thought-provoking dialogue among senior executives within participating plants.

A new section was developed this year which focuses on labor issues and addresses questions such as ‘How is the industry handling minimum wage increases and staffing shortages?’

Companies that submitted a survey receive a free copy of the final report. The results will be shared at the 11th Annual Healthcare Conference being held Nov. 16-17 in Scottsdale, AZ. The full report is available for sale through the TRSA store for $75 for TRSA members and $150 for nonmembers.
