TRSA’s New Customer-Facing Website: Taking the Industry to the Public!

Posted April 21, 2023 at 12:48 pm

TRSA recently launched a customer/consumer-facing website to promote the hygiene and environmental advantages and supply-chain sustainability, as well as other benefits of linen, uniform and facility services. Users can view the website at LaundryServices.org. It includes a searchable directory of TRSA members so local businesses can find one near them.

TRSA has planned several targeted marketing initiatives aimed at driving decision makers and traffic to LaundryServices.org. Examples include social media campaigns and Google display, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram ads. The site is designed to run in tandem with the TRSA certification websites HygieniciallyClean.org. Publicity and ads in business media for industries that our industry serves are planned as well to promote greater awareness of certification programs and the benefits of outsourcing.

Currently, the website’s home page features include:

Find Commercial Laundry Services. Users input their business location to find TRSA members in a 200-mile radius. They can search by company name and limit their searches to their business type (acute or nonacute healthcare, business/services, hotels, restaurants) and by certification (Hygienically Clean or Clean Green).

Benefits of Commercial Laundry. Our industry’s prospects are reminded that they already have enough to manage, supervise, coordinate, assist and budget – they can leave linens and uniforms to professionals who control quality, clean professionally and meet budget expectations. Higher-quality cleaning results from proper product selection and wash formulas. Water- and energy-efficiency is greater with large-capacity, high-productivity machinery. These pages also promote TRSA’s certification programs.

About Commercial Laundry & Linen Services. This page explains how millions of Americans benefit each day from our industry’s clean, comfortable, professionally laundered linens, uniforms and other textiles, as well as other products for businesses.

Laundry: How It Works. Using the TRSA YouTube video, “Inside the Process: How Textile Services Deliver Cleanliness, Economy,” the home page depicts industry best practices (including pickup, cleaning, folding and delivery) that provide laundered linens, garments and other reusable textiles cost-effectively and in hygienically clean condition.

The site gives an overview of each major customer’s industry market and the laundry industry’s primary offerings to it:

Business/Services. Primarily aimed at what our industry knows as its industrial market segment, this description highlights high-visibility and flame-resistant garments, dust control, personal protective equipment (PPE) and first aid and restroom supplies. Customer industries mentioned are manufacturing, automotive, pharmaceutical and food processing.

Healthcare. Acute and non-acute settings are delineated. Both benefit, however, from our industry’s proper handling of all garments and linens. This includes sorting and laundering practices that ensure proper temperatures and chemicals are used to remove contaminants and bacteria, as well as professionally drying, folding and wrapping for delivery.

Hotels. Lodging industry segments are reminded of the need to provide quality guest service – and they can count on outsourced laundries to contribute – thanks to equipment and safeguards that deeply clean and extend linen life. That’s a big plus for hotels that own their textile items and keep enough in their inventory to benefit from the consistency of hotel linen service delivery.

Restaurants. Whether an industry customer is a standalone full- or limited-service restaurant, or a foodservice outlet in a hotel, hospital, school or other institution, the industry is ready with table linen, towels, napkins, garments and more. This section also promotes the industry’s stain removal and item color selection.

Mats, Mops and More. Dust control rental is highlighted. Mats are available from a wide selection to match building décor and they can be branded with logos. Anti-fatigue models are available. Product exchanges facilitate optimal use of dust and wet mops and other cleaning textiles, so that these are regularly replaced with new inventory before they wear out.

The LaundryServices.org debut comes as the industry prepares in 2023 for what’s traditionally its busiest time of year: on and around Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 14. It’s anticipated that in years to come, the site will be particularly useful around the most popular annual dine-out days, such as Valentine’s, Father’s Day (June 18, 2023), New Year’s Eve and Easter.
