Cintas Corp., Mason, OH, recently proposed a $25.1 million investment in Yonkers, NY, to open a plant and employ roughly 160 people, according to local media reports. The planned 60,000-square-foot facility would be the base of service operations in the New York City metropolitan area and several counties in southeastern New Yor, the report noted.

Cintas recently filed an application for financial assistance with the Yonkers Industrial Development Agency. The proposed site is located in a corporate park in northwest Yonkers off Executive Blvd. near the local Hampton Inn and Suites. According to the report, Cintas asked the board to grant it $722,500 in sales- and use-tax breaks, plus an undetermined payment-in-lieu-of-taxes agreement.

Cintas’ operations in leased plants in North Salem, Port Washington and Montgomery would be folded into the Yonkers facility, the report said. To read more, click here.
