On the first day of the Clean Show, TRSA hosted a luncheon for users of its certification programs that provided useful knowledge on how to properly promote the benefits of being Clean Green and/or Hygienically Clean certified, and communicating the value of that certification to retain current customers as well as convert prospects to customers.

Keith Segundo, president/CEO, and Adrienne Segundo, IOM, credentialing specialist, Limitless Association Solution Resource LLC, Littleton, CO, gave an hour-long presentation to Clean Show attendees titled “Promoting Your Company Certification to Maximize ROI.” Limitless specializes in certification program development and management, education and program audits, and accreditation development and maintenance.

Adrienne Segundo praised those in attendance for achieving their company’s certification goals, and encouraged them to maximize its value. “As a TRSA Clean Green- or Hygienically Clean-certified facility, you’ve demonstrated responsible leadership in sustainability and conservation to protect the environment or to ensure that the textiles you deliver to end users in hospitals, clinics, hotels, restaurants or other facilities are free of microorganisms that can cause diseases,” Adrienne Segundo said. “Your facility has achieved these goals by adopting best-management practices for reusing, reclaiming and recycling resources, and periodic testing of textiles to ensure that they’re free of harmful microorganisms.”

Keith Segundo encouraged certified companies to use the tools available to them for free through their TRSA membership to market the certification. “TRSA has a package of brochures and news releases and more promoting certification,” Keith Segundo said. “The association also supports other activities including advertisements in customer news media outlets and participation in select trade shows to help get the word out on certification. User groups for both Clean Green- and Hygienically Clean-certified companies advise TRSA on program issues, including promotional efforts.”
