Jamey Cashman, executive director of CSCNetwork since 2009 and a marketing veteran of VF Corp. for 16 years before that, recently announced plans to retire. His last day with the Franklin, TN-based buying group, which includes 181 independent laundry operators and 90-plus industry suppliers, will be Feb. 26.

It took a lot of calling, emailing and meetings, but for the Hospital Cooperative Laundry, Denver, an extensive outreach effort to local health officials has paid off. By the end of this month 200 of its plant employees will have completed a two-shot regimen of COVID-19 vaccinations.

In a continuing effort to professionalize the linen, uniform and facility services industry, TRSA recently conducted its second consultant-led job analysis focusing on the knowledge, tasks and skills necessary for maintenance managers. Similar to the previous job analysis for production managers that led to the Certified Professional Laundry Manager (CPLM) program, the culmination of the maintenance manager job analysis will lead to the development and launch of a self-study certification – Certified Laundry Maintenance Manager (CLMM). Robert “Bob” Brill, vice president of operations, American Textile Maintenance, Los Angeles, announced that he will retire at the end of March. Brill, a 38-year veteran of the linen, uniform and facility services industry, was the winner of TRSA’s 2020 Operator Lifetime Achievement Award, the association’s highest honor for laundry executives.
