Aramark to Spin-Off Uniform Services Business


Aramark today announced its plan to separate Aramark Uniform Services (AUS) into an independent, publicly traded company. The structure of the transaction is intended to be a spin-off that is tax-free to Aramark and its stockholders. The company currently expects the spin-off to occur by the end of fiscal 2023, according to a news release.

TRSA’s Business Pulse Survey for the first quarter of 2022 indicated that across all market specialties, at least 80% of operators are looking to find new supplier partners (products and/or supplies, parts, etc.) to mitigate ongoing supply-chain shortages.
