Alsco Uniforms, Salt Lake City, recently announced that 38 of its branches providing linen and uniform laundry services and other products to healthcare, food safety and hospitality facilities have been certified Hygienically Clean.

Alsco Uniforms can be confident that it’s providing hygienically clean linens and uniforms, backed by the TRSA certification, to customers’ staff and patients. The TRSA Hygienically Clean certification confirms a laundry services’ effectiveness in protecting healthcare operations by verifying quality-control procedures in linen, uniform and facility services operations related to the handling of textiles containing blood and other potentially infectious materials.

The 38 Alsco Uniforms branches use processes, wash formulas and best-management practices acknowledged by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and others. Introduced by TRSA in 2012, the Hygienically Clean Healthcare certification brought to North America the international cleanliness standards for hygienically clean linens and uniforms used worldwide by the Certification Association for Professional Textile Services and the European Committee for Standardization.

Alsco’s HealthAssure Promise™ reflects the evolution of healthcare laundry certification, considering growing global concerns about infection control, documenting practices that ensure the elimination of potentially harmful microbial content, while adding quantifiable verification of continuous improvement in overall cleanliness.
