Cintas Corp. recently announced its latest facility to qualify for OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star certification, a uniform rental plant in Lake Charles, LA.

“One of the many benefits of achieving VPP is our employee-partners and their families know they are working for a company that puts their health and safety above all else,” said John Hains, general manager for the plant. “The Lake Charles partners earned this award because of their engagement and commitment to safe behaviors in the workplace. We are very proud to be recognized for safety excellence.”

The Lake Charles plant employs 85 people and has operated in the area for more than 35 years, according to a news release. This plant is the 51st Cintas facility to meet the VPP requirements. Cintas currently is ranked fourth among all U.S. companies in terms of the number of plants that have VPP Star certification. The VPP Star is OSHA’s highest recognition for companies for the practice of and commitment to exemplary occupational safety and health.

Cintas has nearly 300 facilities worldwide that are pursuing VPP recognition, including operations in the U.S., Canada, Honduras and Mexico. Click here for more information.
