Mountville Mills Europe Acquires Burex Manufacturing

Mountville Mills Europe, a global leader in commercial floor mat manufacturing and sister company of M+A Matting, recently acquired Burex Manufacturing, a printer of dye‐sublimated point-of-sale products in Ireland, according to a news release.

“Burex Manufacturing is a well‐respected promotional matting manufacturer with a wide distribution network throughout Europe,” said David Hart, CEO of Mountville Mills Inc., the parent company of both Mountville Mills Europe and M+A Matting. “We are honored to work with Burex, and our customers will benefit tremendously from the combined marketing support, the expanded product line and manufacturing efficiencies.”

Mountville Mills Europe is a subsidiary of Mountville Mills Inc., a family‐owned business founded in 1963. Mountville Mills Inc. has eight subsidiaries, including M+A Matting. Collectively, the Mountville family of companies has three mat-manufacturing facilities and two rubber-manufacturing facilities in Georgia, as well as manufacturing facilities in Ronse and Fleurus, Belgium; and Caerphilly, United Kingdom. Mountville is the largest producer of rubber‐backed floor mats in the world.

Burex operates from a modern 12,000-square-foot factory in Dunleer, Ireland, that is equipped with the latest dye-sublimation printing technology. The company manufactures a wide range of products such as bar accessories, floor mats and counter mats.
