Following up on the popularity of its recent Reopening Tour visits with more than 50 members, TRSA is currently scheduling the Reopening Tour for California, including the association’s first in-person regional meeting in nearly two years.

The Regional Meeting is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 20, from 3 – 5:30 p.m. PDT at the Intercontinental Los Angeles Downtown. A briefing is slated for 3 – 4:30 p.m. PDT, with a networking reception to follow from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. PDT.

In addition to the informal networking event, TRSA Chair Noël Richardson, Shasta Linen Supply, Sacramento, CA; and TRSA President & CEO Joseph Ricci will provide an association update to kick off the meeting. Vice President of Government Relations Kevin Schwalb will provide an overview of issues impacting California including:

  • Efforts to require filtration of microplastics
  • Union-driven efforts to eliminate pay-per-piece incentives
  • Potential water restrictions
  • Developments pertaining to California zero-emissions requirements for delivery vehicles
  • Marketing research and resources, including the long-term care campaign

“We hope that despite the uncertainty of reopening guidelines that your business is experiencing encouraging recovery results,” Ricci said. “Based on our recent TRSA Reopening Tour visits with more than 50 members, we know you are experiencing labor shortages and supply chain issues, as well as difficulty getting production personnel vaccinated.”

Attendance at the Regional Meeting is limited to 35 people. If you’re interested in attending, please RSVP to Ricci at jricci@trsa.org by Friday, Sept. 10.
