TRSA’s Supplier Council: Enhancing the Supplier Partnership

Posted November 6, 2020 at 3:14 pm

TRSA is developing the TRSA Supplier Council to give its supplier member companies a larger voice in the association, especially when it comes to matters of advocacy, association priorities and networking.

TRSA has traditionally focused on linen, uniform and facility services industry operators. Supplier parnters have always been a valued and important part of the association, but with little input in direction and strategy.

The COVID-19 pandemic has shown that the entire chain of the linen, uniform and facility services industry must continue to work closely together to maintain a safe and strong reusable supply chain. As a result, the “Associate” membership category (supplier companies) has been renamed “Supplier Partner.”

TRSA has been working with a focus group to lay the groundwork for the council and is ready to engage as many supplier partners as possible to determine how to better serve their membership segment. Individuals from supplier partner companies can click here to apply for council membership.

The council will aim to fulfill a wider variety of supplier partners’ needs through supplier-specific activity in:

  • Advocacy – Direct TRSA in legislative and policy initiatives relating to the supplier community if these are not counter to operator activities.
  • Education – Conduct industry specific educational programs developed by supplier partners for supplier partners.
  • Networking – Stage one in-person Annual Conference organized and run by the Supplier Council separate from the mainstream Annual Conference.

Initially the Supplier Council will meet via three conference calls/Zoom meetings throughout the year and also in person at the previously mentioned Supplier Annual Conference (location and program to be determined by the council).
