General managers, plant and production managers, as well as others responsible for production supervision, inventory control and product quality will gather May 10-11 at the Marriott Downtown, Kansas City, MO. TRSA’s Production Summit and Plant Tours program offers two days of sharing and learning processes and management techniques that impact day-to-day operations through an agenda packed with general and breakout sessions and local plant tours.

Dr. Melissa Furman, MS, DBA, founder and consultant, Career Potential LLC will kick off the TRSA event with her keynote address. “Organizational leaders are faced with unique challenges due to the ever-changing business environments and increased generational and cultural diversity in the workforce,” stated Furman. She added, “the focus of the presentation is for attendees to challenge their current thinking about management strategies.” Furman plans to provide recommendations for navigating those ongoing challenges such as talent recruitment, retention and development.

General sessions will cover these topics:

  • Identifying people and equipment productivity metrics
  • Roundtable discussion among peers on topics selected by attendees
  • PFAS regulatory update
  • An interactive panel discussion made up of general managers from across the industry

Production Summit breakout session topics include:

  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Water Treatment and Usage
  • Automation and Emerging Tech
  • Energy Efficiency

Rounding out the summit will be two plant tours, Crothall Healthcare, Kansas City, MO, will be one of the plant tour locations. A second location will be announced shortly. Debriefing with plant-management personnel and other tour attendees following the tours allows for comparison of practices and further insight into these efficiently-run plants and is always viewed as a highlight of the summit.

Registration is currently open, and more details can be found at trsa.org/productionsummit.
