Value Line Pick for Uniform Rental: Cintas

NEW YORK, March 24—The Value Line investment newsletter has declared Cintas Corp. “the most appealing play for investors” interested in uniform rental, calling it the best fit for conservative investors and likely most appealing to those with a growth and income focus. Cintas offers a more generous dividend than its competitors, the newsletter said, though the yield is modestly below the Value Line median. But the company has the best prospects for price appreciation over the next three to five years, as the anticipated recovery of the uniform rental market is not reflected in the current quotation, unlike its peers. 

Mission among Creditors in Hotel Bankuptcy

CHANDLER, Ariz., March 28—Arizona Republic News reported that Mission Linen (Santa Barbara, Calif.) is among creditors of the Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort, which has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Mission is owed $1.4 million.

Baird & Co. survey of independent operators in this segment of the textile services industry. The Milwaukee-based investment analyst sees possible “incremental improvement” on the way thanks to the stronger U.S. economy. One caveat: rising cost pressures from recent commodity inflation.
