TRSA’s headquarters in Alexandria, VA, will remain closed on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24-25, in observance of Thanksgiving. Regular hours will resume on Monday, Nov. 28.

TRSA operator member PureStar Group, Las Vegas, recently announced that it has acquired certain assets of Apex Linen, a leading provider of high-volume, commercial laundry and dry-cleaning services to the hospitality and restaurant industries in the greater Las Vegas area, according to a news release.

Nearly 60 state, county and local elected officials, plus community and civic leaders, gathered on Nov. 16 at the future site of an industrial/cleanroom laundry in Tucker, GA, to celebrate Prudential Overall Supply’s $35-million investment and an anticipated 100-plus jobs for residents at a facility that will serve metro Atlanta and beyond.

Over 115 linen, uniform and facility services industry operators representing 55 companies from the U.S. and Canada gathered in Fort Worth, TX, for two days of networking, education and fun. The annual conference, dubbed “AlliantCon,” is a forum for operators to discuss new technologies, exchange ideas and strategies and learn other new ways that operators can grow and manage their businesses. 

Prudential Overall Supply will hold a press conference at its future Tucker, GA, industrial and cleanroom laundry processing site on Nov. 16 to celebrate the coming modern, new facility. Officials representing local, state and congressional representatives are expected at the event, according to a news release.

U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen (D-WA) recently visited Northwest Health Care Linen in Bellingham, WA, to see in-person the importance reusable healthcare textiles play in maintaining the safety of healthcare workers, patients and the public. President of Customer Relations Kelsey Van Miert, along with her brother Evan Hall, president of operations, greeted Larsen and briefed him on the multigenerational business which provides jobs for more than 100 people.

Tony Biela will take over as president of JENSEN USA, Panama City, FL, while Carlos Fernandes has been promoted to senior vice president of sales. Biela and Fernandes will succeed Simon Nield, effective Jan. 1, 2023.
