Labor, Supply-Chain Issues Persist in Latest TRSA Survey


TRSA’s Business Pulse Survey for the first quarter of 2022 indicated that across all market specialties, at least 80% of operators are looking to find new supplier partners (products and/or supplies, parts, etc.) to mitigate ongoing supply-chain shortages. This bodes well for the upcoming Clean Show, slated for July 30-Aug. 2 in Atlanta.

Baird Survey Cites Upbeat Growth Prospects


Robert W. Baird & Co. and TRSA recently distributed the results of the March 2022 (First-Quarter 2022) Uniform & Linen Rental Survey. Survey respondents on both the uniform and linen rental side of the industry expressed optimism at their growth prospects over the next 12 months.

Virtual Summit Keynoter Forecasts Hotel Occupancy Growth


This year may see the continent-wide return to business travel needed to generate enough hotel guests to restore linen volume to pre-pandemic levels. Watch for more workers to return to their offices, a luxury hotel marketer told a TRSA audience tuned in to TRSA’s Hospitality Virtual Summit & Roundtable on March 16. As this occurs, you’ll note hotels becoming less dependent on rate increases to improve revenues as more guest rooms are filled.

Survey Shows Optimistic Outlook for Growth in ’22


Robert W. Baird & Co. and TRSA recently released the results of the December 2021 (Fourth-Quarter 2021) Uniform & Linen Rental Survey. The results showed several encouraging signs of optimism heading into 2022 based on data collected from the uniform and linen rental companies that participated in the survey.

New Publication Reflects Impact of Pandemic on the Industry


TRSA’s recently released Industry Performance Report enables linen, uniform and facility services operators to compare the industrywide financial impacts of COVID-19 with their own companies’ results. Using 2020 financial data collected from TRSA members on a confidential basis and compiled by the Mackay Research Group of Boulder, CO, the report is the only industrywide research that enables operators to compare income statements, balance sheets, and financial and employee productivity ratios.
